"Where the cellists of the future meet the past"
The Popper Heritage Association, founded in 2026 and based in Budapest, is dedicated to preserving and advancing the artistic and pedagogical legacy of David Popper.
Building on more than 25 years of tradition of the David Popper International Cello Competition, the Association opens a new chapter in connecting generations of cellists.
Through competitions and masterclasses, it creates an international platform where tradition, knowledge, and artistic excellence meet.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to build a living bridge between the past and the future of cello playing.
We bring together young talents, distinguished performers, and leading pedagogues from around the world to explore, preserve, and continue a musical heritage that remains vibrant and relevant today.
